William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing
In Shakespeare's seminal romantic comedy, we meet two couples: Hero and Claudio -- storybook lovers who woo by the book -- and Beatrice and Benedick, who prefer verbal sparring and witty wordplay -- and announce loud and clear that they AREN'T a couple. When the surly Donna Joan, bastard sister of the prince, decides to scheme against Hero and Claudio, tragedy strikes and only the strong-willed Beatrice and Benedick can hope to fix things.
